Daz's Daily #26 - Union NMM

Good morning Gunslingers!
Today we are having a bit of wrestle with our old friend NMM or Non Metallic Metal but this time it's a much faster and easier version with less contrast. This took around 5 minutes to do so have a play and see how you get on.

The scheme is based on the artwork for Union Troopers so has more of a gunmetal feel.

  • P3 Thamar Black,
    P3 Ironhull Grey,
    P3 Exile Blue
    P3 Morrow White

  • my usual Artist Opus brushes.

Colour comparison: Black, Neutral Grey, White, deep blue.

It's good to have visual reference to keep you on track.

The weapon is base coated Ironhull Grey.

A thin wash (4 parts water to 1 part paint) of Thamar Black is applied and allowed to pool a little to give us some definition of our main shapes.

A highlight of 50/50 Ironhull Grey is applied to the main panels. On the rounded areas this highlight ends halfway down to give us a nice effect

Another thin wash of Thamar Black was applied.

A highlight of 1 part Ironhull Grey with 2 parts White was applied to the edges of the panels and at the base of our previous highlights on our circular parts.

An ultra thin glaze of Exile Blue was applied to tie our work together and jobs a good'un!
