“In every battle there comes a time when both sides consider themselves beaten, then he who continues the attack wins.” -- Odysseus Grant

Putting together any number of what we consider goons can be a slog and as we hurtle through a year with COVID-19, it can be hard to keep up with a hobby that generally requires face to face interaction.

This competition was meant to keep the community engaged during lockdown, so later we can continue the engagement in person. Of course, depending on where you are you might be meeting face to face already.

We just encourage everyone to remain safe and, most important of all, friendly toward each other. This friendliness is something we saw within those following and participating in the #ALLHANDSONDECK competition. We, as Warhosts and as members of the community, would love to see this friendliness and encouragement to keep people engaged in this hobby. However, for now, let's give three cheers to the following winners of the competition!

There were three categories to win: All Hands On Deck, Stand Your Ground, and Best in Show.

All Hands On Deck

The winner of the “All Hands On Deck” category or the most painted Hands models goes to Paul Roberts with his Union Troopers. It gives us pause to see so many troopers painted so well. For his perseverance, he gains a box of K9 Gun Dogs!

Next, the winner of the “Stand Your Ground” category or the most unique bases is Andrew Netz. As people that hate having models on similar bases, we love to see some creativity in one of the most overlooked portions of a painted model. Why wouldn’t you have the insidious Watchers on glowing green bases!? Andrew gains a box of Swamp/Industrial Medium bases from the Warcradle Scenics line.

Finally, we have the Best in Show - the models that won this category would make Daz proud. The winner of a box of K9 Attack Dogs and the title of “Top Dog” goes to Helmut Kruggy. His stunningly painted Reaver HeadHunters and Harriers. These models perfectly capture a group of Hands that might slay everyone's favourite Ironhide driver. Keep your head on a swivel, Mr. Kincade!

From all the Warhosts and the fine folks at Warcradle, a big thank you to everyone who participated in this painting competition. For those that watched the competition over the past couple of months, hopefully, this inspired you to complete some miniature projects. Finally, to everyone that has some Hands models, some new adventures may await them in the near future!
