With March bringing the Prussian Elector Battlefleet to Dystopian Wars for the Imperium, the other Great Powers are opening the gates to their shipyards and launching their own armadas. On the horizon, Stuart’s spotted the Empire with the Ning Jing Battlefleet for the Chinese…

As another first for Dystopian Wars, we have the Empire receiving a Battlefleet - the Ning Jing. Featuring the next from our range of plastic multi-part kits, the miniatures have been conceived, designed, sculpted, laid out and engineered completely by the Warcradle studio and manufacturing teams.

Featuring the Empire Frontline Squadron kit as well as a large multi-part resin battleship, Battlefleet sets like the Ning Jing are the building blocks of your Force. These are groups of Units that are always led by a mighty flagship such as the Ning Jing or Yangtze. While they do not need to remain together during the game, there are benefits that can apply to all the units in the Battlefleet so your choices have a real impact on how the battle unfolds.

So let’s take a look at what the Immortal Emperors have in store with their first Chinese Battlefleet.

This features the Ning Jing Battleship as well as parts to build it alternatively as a Yangtze Command Ship. Both these vessels feature the fearsome Heavy Prow Huoqiang, a weapon capable of spewing gouts of super-hot gas which boils the sea and sets the decks of their enemies ablaze. The Ning Jing carries three Heavy Gun Batteries while the Yangtze exchanges two of its Heavy Gun hardpoints and instead provides its commander with expanded logistics and tactical support as well as powerful Erlang Shen casemate bombards as befits its more strategic deployment.

The Ning Jing (or the Yangtze) is joined in the Battlefleet by the first plastic miniatures for the Empire. The Empire Frontline Squadron is a multi-part plastic kit that allows Chinese Commodores to bolster their fleets with two Jian class Cruisers, Meru class Heavy Cruisers, Dao class Light Cruisers or Wusong class Monitors. Common to all four is the Prow Huoqiang,

The set also includes parts to make four Shanghai class Frigates, deadly pack hunters that devastate their enemies with rocket barrages. Finally, the set includes Heavy Rocket Batteries for the cruisers and Flagships as well as the various esoteric Generators that can be added.

As you can see the Ning Jing Battlefleet set is the core of a Chinese themed force for the Empire. The next few months will see additional Battlefleets for the Imperium, Commonwealth and Enlightened to expand those factions. Later in the year, we will then see Battlefleets for the Union, Crown etc as well as additional Battlefleets and other sets for those Factions already released. There’s more coming for the Chinese as well as other nations in the Empire faction.

We claim ten-thousand years of harmony with our Immortal Emperors!
